Louise Loves Patsy – and so do I!

I just finished doing a run of the wonderful show, Ted Swindley’s “Always…Patsy Cline” at the Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, Connecticut.  I had the pleasure of playing the VERY ENTHUSIASTIC, real life Patsy Cline fan, Louise Seger opposite the amazing Carter Calvert as Patsy Cline.  The show is based on a true story – in real life, Louise really DID get to meet her idol and they REALLY DID hit it off and became great friends!

Much like me and Carter Calvert! To say we had “good chemistry” would be a gigantic understatement.

Here’s some quotes from the reviews……(I think they liked it!)

“THEY ARE SENSATIONAL – what a set of pipes on Calvert and Alison is a comedic genius- bravo to both ladies! Huge thunderous standing ovations. ” – Howard Steven Frydman, The Howard, August 24th, 2018

“Arngrim grabs the audience in a great big bearhug and doesn’t let go, winking at, flirting with, ribbing and cajoling, in a down-home style you can’t resist. Who knew Nellie Oleson could be so nice?” – Dan Dwyer, Berkshire Edge, August 20, 2018

“Alison Arngrim takes the stage by storm with amazing stage presence and positive energy that spreads through the audience in such a powerful way that we are hanging on every word she speaks.” – Sean Fallon, Broadway World, August 19, 2018

“The chemistry and dynamics between Alison and Carter create the intended sense of friendship and camaraderie that existed between Louise and Patsy. The audience can feel the strong and convincing bond between the two, reflected in the actresses’ interactions and reactions towards each other. Louise joins Patsy in the singing on several numbers, which makes them seem like a natural duet.”  – Sean Fallon, Broadway World, August 19, 2018

“Louise (Alison Arngrim; Nellie Oleson on Little House on the Prairie) tells us the story with a hefty Texas accent, a huge personality with high exuberant energy.   Her delivery is a combination of broad comedy and veneration of Cline as she speaks directly to and interacts with the audience, including dancing with a gentleman in an aisle and onstage.    She is more than likable and has a marvelous singing voice as well.”  – Macey Levin, Berkshire On stage, August 21st, 2018

“Alison Arngrim, who most people in the audience remembered as the nasty Nellie Oleson on the beloved tv series “Little House on the Prairie,” played the devoted fan Louise with just the right amount of sass and heart. ” – Nancy Sasso Janis, Patch, August 19, 2018
